Jason Rosenblatt

Composer, producer, pianist and harmonica player Jason Rosenblatt is one of the world's foremost innovators in diatonic harmonica technique. His performance on the unassuming instrument has helped to open new musical ground for the instrument long associated with "the blues," into art forms as diverse as jazz, bluegrass, Klezmer and Turkish music. Since 2002 he and his group Shtreiml, for which he serves as musical director, have performed internationally at notable festivals and venues in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. His music has been heard on radio and in films including the 2010 Bravo production, "Last of the Wild Jews," Jason is Artistic Director of the Montreal Jewish Music Festival which Jewish music concerts and workshops to a multi-generational, multi-cultural and multi-lingual audience. Jason is especially concerned with educating the next generation of musicians and has given workshops and lectures on harmonica, and klezmer music to students of all-ages. Jason's skills as a composer and musician have been recognized through awards granted by the Canada Council for the Arts, Conseil des Arts du Montreal, the Lasko Foundation and PennPAT.

Adam Stotland

Adam Stotland has been bringing Jewish music to the masses for the better part of a decade. Whether he's playing chassidic music at a wedding, progressive rock in a club or his own unique style Jewish bluegrass (aka Jewgrass) in a concert hall, Adam delivers with energy, enthusiasm and vivacity. Born and raised in Montreal, Adam began his musical career at the tender age of six. A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, he continues to hone his skills on the guitar, bass, piano, mandolin and drums and has performed extensively with various bands including Shtreiml and the Moshav Band in North America, Europe and Israel. A sought after musician and cantor, Adam has performed as a featured vocalist at concerts, wedding cermonies and synagogues worldwide. Whether on stage or in the studio Adam brings his professional expertise and creative knowledge to all of his projects.

Rachel Lemisch

Rachel Lemisch, Philly native and trombonist extraordinaire, is a member of the Philadelphia chamber orchestra and hails from the famed Lemisch family klezmer dynasty of Iasi, Romania. In addition to performing with Shtreiml, she has guested with the Klezmer Conservatory Band and Frank London's Klezmer Brass All Stars and is member of Susan Watt's the Fabulous Shpilkes. As a classical musician Rachel has played with the Delaware Symphony, Jerusalem International Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic, the New Hampshire Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and as a finalist for the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida. Rachel also plays in the high energy, Gypsy Balkan, Montreal brass band, Fanfare Severni. Rachel's film credits include Mona Lisa Smile, 2003, as a member of the all-women's big band featured in the Spring Fling scene. In 2008, Rachel began the Montreal Community Klezmer initiative, an ensemble that brings together people of varying music background, age and ethnicity to learn and perform Eastern European Jewish Music in and around Montreal.

Thierry Arsenault

Thierry Arsenault is a very active musician on the Montreal music scene. He is mostly known for being a versatile drummer and percussionist in the 'world music' circles. He is a specialist of Eastern European, West African, Moroccan and Indian classical rhythms. Just as comfortable before crowds of 20 or 20,000, he has played in close to a dozen countries. He is a founding member of klezmer extraordinaires Shtreiml with whom he continues to tour the US, Canada and Europe. Other notable acts he has performed with include: Bela Fleck, Harry Manx, Socalled, Joshua Nelson, Florence K., Frank London's Klezmer Brass Allstars, Alicia Svigals, David Krakauer, Sylvie Desgroseillers, Bernard Primeau Montreal Jazz Ensemble, Nathalie Choquette, Anthony Coleman, Prince Diabate and Madrigaia. Thierry Arsenault is a Sonor drums endorser.
